On the Snake River

Snake River in Twin Falls, Idaho

We got home around 3:30 today and we are exhausted. For the first time ever, we did not completely unload the trailer. Tomorrow is another day. Here are a few last pictures that I had trouble uploading from the road. We ended our trip as we began it--having dinner with Gary's brother Larry, his daughter, Ashley and her boyfriend, Jason in Winnemucca.

We had a great time and we enjoyed sharing our pictures--thanks for checking them out. Until next time.

Jenny Lake--Grand Teton National Park

On Friday, we hiked part way around Jenny Lake. It was a rather cool day--perfect for hiking. We started at the Visitor Center and went 2.5 miles to Hidden Falls. Then, we took a boat back to the Visitor's Center. We had a great time and took in some gorgeous views.

Float Trip on the Snake River

Today, we took a 13 mile scenic float trip on the Snake River. We saw eagles and other water fowl and had a very pleasant day. It rained a little but not enough to spoil the trip.

Jackson Hole, WY

We are on the last leg of our trip and we are staying here for 5 nights.

Bear

We are here in Jackson to see the Grand Tetons. It is so beautiful here but again, rainy. It rained most of the morning and a little in the afternoon. You have to look hard, but there is a bear in the picture above.

Yellowstone

Here are a couple more from yesterday.

Yellowstone Day 2

We saw lots of buffalo our second day in the park. It was sunny and warm--a beautiful day.

Yellowstone Day 1

We finally are able to upload some pictures. We drove a section of Yellowstone that we had never seen and it was gorgeous--pictures don't do it justice. We usually are there in early May and this section doesn't open until late in the month. Early May is better for visiting--fewer crowds.

Yellowstone National Park

We're in West Yellowstone and our wi-fi is not working well. I wanted to add some pictures of buffalo but here's one of Tess looking at them. I will add more as soon as I can.

Mt. Rushmore KOA Campground

Tonight was the first night on this trip that we were able to eat outside and have a fire. It wasn't cold, raining, buggy or windy. This RV park is unbelievable--kids can have a great time here. There are 2 pools, horseback riding, fishing, bike rentals, ATV rentals, water slide, basketball, volleyball, all you can eat pancakes, and a lot more. What a great place for a vacation.

Custer State Park

After we visited Mt. Rushmore, we drove through Custer State Park. We saw buffalo and pronghorn and beautiful rock formations.

Mount Rushmore

This place is just awesome. And we had a beautiful day to see it.
