Yesterday, we arrived in Vicksburg early in the afternoon and took a driving tour through the military park. The man in the office at our RV park let us use an audio tour CD which was very helpful. It's hard to believe that such a huge battle was fought there--it was so peaceful. It was a beautiful memorial to the men who fought.
That is awesome.
ReplyDeleteWe always think to visit the more "famous" battlefields like Gettysburg and Valley Forge. We forget that they are all important. Thanks for visiting Vicksburg and sharing with us!
