Little Bighorn to Great Falls, Montana--Tuesday
We drove and drove and drove today. We're exhausted and have no pictures but at least we have wi-fi that works.
Little Bighorn Battlefield-Monday
We drove around the battlefield and it was a very impressive and sobering experience. Custer is buried at West Point but they have a marker for him in one of the cemeteries. We stopped and had Indian Fry Bread for dinner--yum.
Devil's Tower--Saturday and Sunday
We spent two days here and there wasn't a lot to do which was relaxing for a change. We did the hike around Devil's Tower on Sunday afternoon which wasn't very strenuous. We saw deer and the park also had a prairie dog town. Our RV Park was right outside the park so we did very little driving.
Mt. Rushmore--Friday
We finally have internet access!! We've had poor to no reception so we are a bit behind. The night before we went to Mt. Rushmore, we went back to the Crazy Horse Memorial for a laser light show and it was spectacular. Disney helped design it and it was well worth seeing.
On Friday, we went to Mt. Rushmore and we thought it was pretty awesome. All in all, it was a very pleasant 2 days seeing the two monuments.

Crazy Horse Monument
Today, we drove to Hill City, SD and went to the Crazy Horse Monument for lunch and sightseeing. They have been working on the monument since 1948 and there is a LONG way to go. The finished sculpture should look the Indian on the horse. It is not federally funded so they depend on contributions and the man who started the project had crude tools. His family is carrying on the work--it's pretty impressive.

Minuteman Missile Site
Just ouside of Badlands, they've opened up one of the missile sites from the cold war and it was cool to see. We missed being able to take a tour inside which would have been really cool.
Badlands National Park
Badlands is just south of Wall so we spent the day driving through the park. It was very interesting and picturesque--we saw a prairie dog town and but only one buffalo.
